On a very exposed site, we were asked to design a new dock system and boat port. The layout of the docks creates protected slips from nearly all of the site’s exposures. To construct a boat port roof over the dock layout required a large cantilevering roof. The structure is to have painted steel columns and beams. Custom steel brackets will be welded to the columns and beams to provide lateral stability.
