Our client’s vision was for a contemporary home that embraced openness, transparency, and expansive views. The design responds with a bold yet refined architectural language defined by exposed Glulam timber beams that extend seamlessly from interior to exterior. These structural elements establish a clear rhythm, echoed in the window patterning, and lend the home both warmth and modern clarity.
A series of low-pitched roofs, carefully composed for both elegance and function, allow for positive drainage while maintaining a refined, understated profile. Deep overhangs—reaching up to 15 feet—provide solar protection and shape covered outdoor living areas that extend the home’s connection to its landscape.
Every space within the house is oriented to frame the extraordinary site views, ensuring that the natural surroundings remain the focal point of daily life. Material choices were guided by both aesthetics and environmental responsibility, reflecting the shared commitment of client and design team to create a home that is both beautiful and sustainable.
The result is a contemporary residence that is at once striking and harmonious—an architectural addition that enhances both the lives within it and the community around it.
